 Originally from Baldwin LI I moved to Sarasota shortly after graduating college in 1983. Professionally I have been involved in advertising, real estate, marketing, sales and PR both on a corporate and entrepreneurial level. For 17 years I worked for Florida's oldest family business, the Albritton Fruit Company and have owned and operated a candy distribution and vending machine business.
My interest in real estate began in the mid 80s under Tollyn Twitchell, son of Sarasota School of Architectures Ralph Twitchell, managing and maintaining Sea Winds Condominium on Siesta Key. Applying that knowledge I bought my first "fixer upper" on Longboat Key under Michael Saunders guidance in 1987. During the ensuing years and several more of these projects under my belt I had become proficient in the Sarasota rental, home repair, and real estate market.
On day in 2001 my wife who is a realtor said "I'm getting busy and need some help and with everything you know you would make a great agent" I said "I'm not a salesman" and she said "people don't want to be sold, they want someone who knows the area, can answer all their questions, and negotiate on their behalf. It's the same thing you are doing now for yourself." 9 years later I have accomplished being able to earn a living doing what I love best while still having time for my family and friends.
