Once I powered on my furnace Ruud Silhouette II my new wifi thermostat doesnt turn on. Old switch only had white and black matched up easily to the group of black wires for lights and the white. I would like to replace the old Carrier thermostat with a WIFI smart Honeywell. VOLTS any ideas whats wrong Had a local electrician look at it today and he was puzzled and said will have to think on it and get back to meI want to thank you not by saying but by donating some money is there a way I can do that
Thanks for the quick response. I think maybe it is being used as the common wire as there is no C terminal on this thermostat. But am confused about the multifanlight switch with no schematic I had in the garage. br At the furnace end also unconnected I am unsure where to connect it at the furnace control board. When I am within a certain distance from the house it turns it off automatically when I travel outside of that radius and turns everything back on when travel inside of that radius. Except for that black wire everything else looks correct from the information you provided
